Please help us shout out our school counselors!
We are so grateful for them and all they do for our students!

Starting at 4pm on Tuesday, February 3rd, stop by the SHS gym to meet Coach House and then stick around for some basketball! We hope to see you there!

Out of an abundance of caution for the extreme freezing temperatures expected in the morning, Smithville ISD will delay school start times on Tuesday, January 27th by two hours. Buses will run two hours behind the normal schedule, and the start times for campuses will be as follows:
BP - 9:55am
SES - 9:45am
JH - 10:00am
SHS - 9:55am
Tiger Academy/DAEP - 9:50am
All after school activities will continue as scheduled. We encourage everyone to use their best judgement and caution getting to school and look forward to seeing you all tomorrow.
Thank you!

Smithville ISD will be closed on Monday, January 26th, due to continued freezing temperatures and concerns regarding the safety of our area road conditions. This closure includes the cancellation of all school events and practices.
We will remain in close contact with area emergency management teams and local meteorologists to monitor conditions. You will continue to receive timely updates through our website, social media, and email/text notifications regarding Tuesday's status and any additional weather-related changes.
Stay warm and safe.

SISD is actively monitoring the upcoming winter weather. This evening’s basketball games will remain as scheduled, and all other weekend activities have been cancelled. We will communicate any changes to our regular schedule on Monday no later than Sunday evening, through text, phone call, and local media outlets.
Stay safe and warm!

SISD welcomed a wonderful crowd on Tuesday, January 20 to celebrate the designation of the Mary A. Brown School as a historical site in Smithville, TX. Having the opportunity to celebrate this milestone with our community and school district was incredibly memorable for all of us in Smithville ISD!
Thanks to everyone who made this event so special!

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback to create this calendar!
