CAUGHT BEING KIND! 😊 In an effort to promote kindness and bring awareness to good deeds, our Junior High Counselor Mrs. Edwards started the "Caught Being Kind" award. Students and teachers can nominate ANYONE for being kind to others. This week, staff member Brylee Johnson was nominated by a student who witnessed her showing kindness to another student.

The book fair is coming to Smithville Junior High! Starting next Monday, students will have the opportunity to purchase books from the book fair during the day, or parents can come shop with them on Thursday, 10/3, for the late shopping day. We will also have the Edible Book Contest that evening. We hope to see you there!


September 23rd is Education Technology Day! On this day we celebrate the technology that helps students to learn better and teachers to teach better. We also recognize our wonderful IT department who keeps all our tech up-and-running! We couldn't get by without you!


Don't forget that tomorrow, September 20th, is a Student Holiday and Staff Workday!
