state of tx ratings

The Texas Education Agency released the 2025 A-F school accountability results for districts and campuses on August 15, 2025. Results from the 2024 year were also released, following an ongoing delay due to legal challenges.

Smithville ISD is proud to report significant improvement within the state’s accountability system this year. The District received an overall “C” rating this year, with Smithville High School earning a “B” and all other campuses assigned a “C” rating. These results follow three prior years where the District received an overall “D” rating.

While we celebrate this progress and commit to ongoing improvements, we also acknowledge that these results are only one measure of students’ growth and learning. In Smithville ISD, we are committed to excellence and strive to provide students with engaging learning experiences both in and out of the classroom each day.
