Assistant Principal Tammy Mayberry

Hello Friends,

Welcome back Tigers! I am Tammy Mayberry and I am excited to be here in Smithville serving as your Assistant Principal.

I was born and raised in San Antonio and moved to Bastrop five years ago. I graduated with my B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Texas at San Antonio and received my Masters in Educational Administration from Concordia University. Prior to becoming an assistant principal, I taught 7th and 8th grade math and science for 15 years. I have also been an instructional coach and worked the past five years as a district K-12 Science curriculum and instruction coordinator.

I am proud to be working with such an amazing team of educators and administrator who care about our students and making sure they receive the best education possible. This year our motto at the junior high is “For the Kids”. We have a phenomenal staff that is truly here for the kids and we are proud to serve the community and our students. I look forward to a great year and helping our students to grow as individuals and scholars. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or concerns.

Tammy Mayberry, M. Ed.
